No-Bo Section Insulator (055025-3001)

No-Bo Section Insulators

No-Bo Section Insulator

No-Bo Insulators are ruggedly constructed and versatile application section insulators. No-Bo Insulators are named for their ability to flawlessly perform under extreme tension conditions. They are strong enough to withstand the forces necessary to break the toughest trolley wire without jeopardizing their insulating or mechanical qualities.

One of the most critical design elements of the No-Bo Insulator is the end casting. Cast of solid bronze, these components develop leverage under wire tension, which puts the lower beam under tension and the upper beam in compression. The complex design of opposing stresses eliminates the warpage associated with a single member thus allowing an ...
No-Bo Section Insulators with Suspension Yoke (055025-3002)

No-Bo Section Insulators with Suspension Yoke

(2)
This No-Bo Insulator incorporates the addition of a suspension yoke. Utilizing the typical No-Bo insulator along with suspension yokes provides added stabilization when used with headspans or crossing wire construction. The suspension yoke adaptable location provides the added insurance that insulation between crossing wires remains safe and consistent. Normal operating wire range for the suspension yoke assembly is (0.25 [6.35mm] ~ 0.50 [12.70mm]).
No-Bo Section Insulators with Magnetic Arc Blowout (055030-3002)

No-Bo Section Insulators with Magnetic Arc Blowout

(2)
No-Bo Insulators with magnetic arc blowout assemblies are designed to eliminate arcing over in both high voltage and high-speed applications. These units also incorporate the suspension yoke assembly as an alternate source of stability and mounting capability.

The longer version of this No-Bo Insulator may also be fitted with dual magnetic blowout assemblies. With magnetic blowout assemblies located at opposite ends of the No-Bo Insulator, the option of vehicle travel in both directions is allowed without the occurrence of cross arcing.

Version "P6" Section Insulator

Version "P" Section Insulators

(2)
The Section Insulators presented here are the P7 & P6 Section Insulators. These section insulators, designed for light rail vehicle (LRV) pantograph operation only, provide superior strength properties due to a specially designed laminated fiberglass beam. These section insulators are ideal for high-speed applications. The P7 version of this Section Insulator is rated for 1,500 VDC applications with an ultimate tensile strength of 22,000 lbs. The P6 version offers a higher voltage rating up to 12,000 VDC as well as providing the same ultimate tensile strength of 22,000 lbs.

These Section Insulators can be fitted with Clevis style (TC) Tips which allows for their use in variable contact wire size ...
Non-Commutating PTFE Beam (0691007-3004)

PTFE Beam Section Insulators

(2)
This section insulator style is the commutating PTFE beam insulator. Designed for light rail vehicle (LRV) pantograph operation only, it provides superior strength properties due to a specially designed PTFE insulator beam. The first unit (p/n: 0691007-3003), has gliders which are positioned to provide a momentary commutation. The second unit (p/n: 0691007-3004), has gliders which are positioned to prevent commutation. Both units are used for high-speed applications, high voltage rated at 12,000 VDC as well as situations where extra high ultimate tensile strengths of 35,000 lbs. is required.

This section insulator has a standard connection tip for 350 KCML. However, those applications, which require 300 KCML, 336 KCML ...
